CIRSE LAUNCHES A NEW INTERVENTIONAL RADIOLOGY DRUG CIRSE launches a new Interventional Radiology Drug. A Doses App is now available for download for iOS and Android
Interventional Radiology Drugs and Doses provides practical information on pharmacological agents used by interventional radiologists in everyday clinical practice. Prepared by experienced practitioners who are members of CIRSE, it is intended to serve as a handy guide for physicians, medical trainees and medical students alike. The content covers the essentials of over 60 commonly encountered agents, divided into eight main categories (cardiovascular, contrast, embolic/thrombotic agents, GI-hepatic-pancreatic, haematologic, infection control, oncology, and pain management). The individual entries provide a brief summary of the agent’s pharmacological properties, indications and contraindications; outline the agent’s proper administration; and, where applicable, specify available reversal agents.
Concise but informative, Interventional Radiology Drugs and Doses is a user-friendly reference tool for medical practitioners, trainees and students interested in the field of interventional radiology.

European Conference on Interventional Oncology, 17th-20th of April 2016, Dublin
EUROPEAN CONFERENCE ON INTERVENTIONAL ONCOLOGY.
The annual ECIO meeting offers all physicians interested in image-guided oncological therapies an opportunity to learn about new developments and discuss best practice. Since the early days of image-guided biopsies and palliative stenting, the field has expanded to cover a staggering range of clinical options.
This year’s meeting, to be held Dublin, Ireland, will endeavour to cover a broad cross-section of these therapies, focusing on the most recent advances. A number of innovative session types will again be employed, including video-learning sessions, a new Hands-on Workshop on supportive procedures, and the Best IO papers session, which was introduced last year to great acclaim
