Membership of The Irish Society of Interventional Radiology

Members of The Irish Society of Interventional Radiology are Consultant Radiologists dedicated to the practice of Interventional Radiology in Ireland. The Consultant members of The ISIR are Fellows of The Faculty of Radiologists of The Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland or The Faculty of Radiologists of The Royal College of Radiologists, United Kingdom.

 

ISIR Meetings

The Irish Society of Interventional Radiology meets twice each calendar year. The ISIR invites an internationally renowned Interventional Radiologist to speak at each meeting. The guest lecturer is presented with The Silver Medal of The Irish Society of Interventional Radiology. For the last two-years, The Irish Society of Interventional Radiology has welcomed The Faculty of Interventional Radiology of The Northwestern University, Chicago, USA for a combined Interventional Radiology Meeting.

Sub-speciality Status for Interventional Radiology in Ireland

The Irish Society of Interventional Radiologists is in the process of applying for sub-speciality status within The Republic of Ireland. This is consistent with the recognition of Interventional Radiology as a sub-specialty in many countries throughout Europe, North America and Australasia.
